Working with a Stager
Staging is fast becoming an expected part of effective real estate sales. It is recognized that staged homes sell faster and at higher prices. Staging transforms a home into a property with a wide range appeal. The home will no longer be designed for living in, but has the singular goal of an optimum sale.
The staging consultation will analyze the interior and the outside presentation of the home. The Stager will identify the attributes to highlight and those aspects that need to be toned down. The Stager will advise on the best staging format and offer services accordingly.
Staging formats:
- Using what the clients already have, but editing and redesigning for the sale.
- Replacing some pieces with rentals to create a more marketable look.
- Using rentals exclusively.
Some homeowners opt for a staging consultation and a report, and then do the work themselves. Professional Stagers may have received their training through a combined redesign and staging course or they have completed a course exclusively in staging. Staging usually results in a client response: "I would never have thought that" and is always creatively satisfying and exciting.
