The Redesigner follows a strategic process of analyzing the client's functional needs and aesthetic goals. She also takes an inventory of those items that the client wants to retain or discard, and those that can be freely placed throughout the home.

Often the client is absent during the makeover, but some clients actively participate in the redesign process.

Professional Redesigners have completed an approved course qualifying them for Canadian Redesigners Association Membership.
